Journée des maisons des jeunes

Saluuut! Hellooooo!

Samedi le 3 octobre prochain, c'est la journée québecoise des maisons de jeunes! Les 154 Maisons de jeunes du Québec vont faire plein d'activités pour que tout le monde sache qu'elles sont importantes dans la vies des communautés!!!!

Nous, on va rejoindre toutes les maisons des Cantons-de-l'Est au Marché de la Gare à 10h le matin et puis on va marcher tous ensemble dans la rue pour faire plein de bruit et nous faire voir! Après, on va tous manger ensemble un bon repas gratuit!!!!

Vous avez besoin de vous inscrire au LYC si vous voulez avoir une place dans une voiture pour y aller!
Nous partirons du Centre des jeunes à 9h30 le matin...soyez-y!

N'OUBLIEZ PAS QUE LE CENTRE EST FERMÉ CE SOIR LÀ!!!!

Saturday, October 3, its the amazing day when all of Quebec's youth centers (154!) celebrate their importance in our communities!

The LYC and all of Eastern Townships' youth centers will meet at 10:00 AM at the Marché de la Gare in Sherbrooke and from there we will march on Belvédere and King street making lots of noise! After the march, we all gather and eat a free buffet!

You have to sign up at the LYC if you want to have a ride. We will be leaving that morning around 9:30 AM. Be there!

DON'T FORGET THAT THE CENTER IS CLOSED THAT NIGHT!

Friday September 25, we will welcome a very special guest! Johé is a very experienced drummer for whom it is important to achieve goals in life and to have passions. He will be visiting the Underground to drum and chat about music and life objectives... Be there (starting at 7)!

Vendredi le 25 septembre, nous allons acceuillir un invité spécial! Johé est un batteur (joueur de batterie bien sûr!) d'expérience pour qui c'est super important d'avoir des objectifs, des buts à atteindre dans la vie. Il est un passionné et veut venir jaser de musique de ce qui nous allume dans la vie...soyez présent (à 19 h)!!!

Summer trip! / Voyage d'été!

We had PERFECT weather! Yay! Thanks to everyone for having participated in our amazing summer trip: Museum of Civilization, sleeping in teepees, Valcartier, Cirque du Soleil, going down the Jacques-Cartier river and swimming in cold water, shopping at Galeries de la Capitale...Yay!

Nous avons eu une température PARFAITE!! Merci à tous ceux qui ont participé à notre aventure de voyage d'été!!! Musée de la Civilisation, dormir dans des tipis, Valcartier, Cirque du soleil, nager et pagayer sur la rivière Jacques-Cartier, magasiner aux Galeries de la capitale..Wow!

Hello everyone!

We are gone to our summer trip next week! Three full days of extreme happiness! We will also be extremely tired after that, so the center will be closed for the rest of the week too!

See you on August 26 then!

La semaine procaine, nous serons partis pour notre voyage d'été!!! Trois jours extrêêêmes!! Au retour, nous serons aussi extrêmement fatigués, c'est pourquoi nous fermerons aussi le reste de la semaine!

Nous nous reverrons donc le 26 août!

This Saturday, August 15, the LYC will be going to the coolest festival ever!Le festival des traditions du monde in Fleurimont! Check it out: www.ftms.ca

Our hours will then be changed a little bit: We will take the bus in front of the center at 11:47 AM (be there earlier!) and come back at the center by 7:45 PM.
Because it will be a day filled with amazing discoveries and energy and and and...we won't open at night after 7:45.
There will be food from all over the world over there, so prepare your money or bring a lunch to have a wonderful picnic for dinner. Don't forget your snacks, bottles of water, cameras and anything else you might need.
There will be hip hop and latin dance workshops and many other cool things. We will also see our friends ALVARO and FELIPE dance! yay!
Be there, there is room for everyone!

Ce samedi, nous allons au festival des traditions du monde à Fleurimont! www.ftms.ca

Nous allons donc changer nos heures quelque peu: nous partirons en autobus à 11h47 (soyez à l'avance) et reviendrons à 19h45. Parce que nous aurons une journée extrêmement remplie, nous n'ouvrirons pas le centre après notre retour.

Au festival, il y aura de la nourriture de partout dans le monde alors, si ça vous intéresse, préparez votre argent ou ammenez-vous un lunch pour pic-niquer! N'oubliez pas vos collations, bouteilles d'eau, caméras et tout ce dont vous pourriez avoir besoin!

Nous allons pouvoir assister à des cours de danse hip hop et latine, et voir nos amis ALVARO et FELIPE danser! yay!
Venez, y'a de la place pour tout le monde!

There are a lot of amazing activities coming up, PLEASE NOTE THESE DATES AND TIMES:

Tomorrow July 18 is the BBQ, fundraiser for the summer trip. If you want to go on the trip, please come and help. (Be at the LYC between 8 and 9 AM, and be ready to stay around until 5 PM)

This means that the center will be closed all afternoon because the BBQ is at the Townhall.

Tuesday, July 21 is Volleyball tournament in Sherbrooke. We will offer rides to our team (Roxy, Brandon, Derick, Randy and Mathew) at 12:15 at the center. (Roxy, we're picking you up at the Metro at 12:40). We have a free diner over there and so we don't exactly know when we will be back.

This means that the center will be closed afternoon and night Wednesday the 22.

Thursday July 23 is the famous Show des jeunes in the Parc Dufresne (behind the Centre d'achats Belvédère).
There will be a ride offered for Brandon, Yves-André, Kathryn and Genny at 4:00 PM at the center. If others want to have a ride too, there could be a possibility at 5 PM, just let us know asap please. The return will be around 10:30- 11:00 PM.

This means that the center will be closed that afternoon and at night (because we are gone!!!)

Tuesday July 28, we are going on an amzing trip to Richmond to go down the St-Francis River in kayaks and canoes. We will be leaving from the center at 8:15 and come back around dinner time.

This means that Wednesday, July 29, we will be closed all day.

Friday, July 31, we are going to the Granby Zoo and Amazoo (waterslides). We will be leaving the center at 8:30 and return around 8:00-8:30 PM.

This means that the center will be closed all day, we are gone!!!!

PLEASE ASK FOR PERMISSION SLIPS AND BRING THEM BACK AS SOON AS POSSIBLE IF YOU WANT TO BE PART OF ANY OF THESE ACTIVITIES !!!!
